Welcome to my little corner of the Internet. Every night, before the kids go to sleep, they ask me to tell them a story. Not being a big fan of books myself and not wanting to repeat the same books over and over again, I went for a more imaginative approach and started making up my own stories based on what the kids wanted a story about. My eldest, now 9, was really into 'Everything's Rosie', a program on kids TV, so always wanted stories based around those characters. My youngest, now 3, is really into trucks, motorbikes, football, etc. So always wants stories based around them. What I try to do is make up stories that also have a moral ending, an updated version of 'The boy who cried wolf' for example, or one with a valuable lesson, like how to cross the road safely and not like the naughty little duckling in my latest story to them. Once upon a time... A long, long, long, long, long, long, long time ago... There was a flippy, floppy frog called... Phillip! Now, Phillip was known throughout the whole land as being the best, flippiest, floppiest frog in the kingdom and was the world champion flippy flopper. The problem was though, that he was a big show off. Every chance he got, he was showing off, flipping and flopping in all sorts of places to whoever would watch.
